The Minister of Defence, Maj Gen Bashir Salihi Magashi (rtd) has assured the Defence Space Administration (DSA) of the Government’s continuous support to sustain the Armed Forces of Nigeria and other Security Agencies with relevant space products and solutions necessary for the conduct of operations.
He gave the assurance when he received the Chief of Defence Space Administration, Air Vice Marshal Ayo Jolasinmi and his team when they paid him a courtesy visit to Ship House, Abuja.
The Minister said that the Administration is to enhance the utilization of Space Science and Technology and as such, the Government will continue to support with maximum resources to enable DSA perform and discharge their mandate effectively. Magashi promised to visit the DSA to inspect the newly installed satellites.
Earlier, Chief of Defence Space Administration, Air Vice Marshal Ayo Jolasinmi, thanked the Ministry for the huge support in the infrastructural development that has made the Administration to be better positioned in delivering its mandate, noting that their task is to provide secured satellite communication to the Armed Forces.
He expressed his appreciation to the Minister for appointing him as the 5th Chief of Defence Administration.
