Magashi commissions Ultra Modern Estate, says FG is committed to well-being of Troops

The Minister of Defence General Bashir Salihi Magashi has commissioned a Housing Estate for officers and Men of the Nigerian Defence Intelligence Agency in Kuyanmi District, Abuja.
General Magashi while commissioning the project said the Federal Government would not relent in providing social amenities that guarantees the welfare and wellbeing of the Members of the Nigerian Armed Forces.
The Minister noted that while the country is grappling with paucity of funds and equally facing security challenges ” the Defence Intelligence Agency took up the challenge of providing a befitting Housing Complex as one of its priorities in order to bridge the accommodation gap”.
He pointed out the need for the Staff to complement the efforts of Government by re dedication, perseverance and unalloyed loyalty to Service.


The Complex has 32 units of Studio Rooms, 8 units of one Bedroom flats 92 of 2 bedroom as well 6 three bedrooms and 16 four bedroom flats. These are in addition to 4 units of five bedrooms flats, a Plaza, a Medical Centre and Worship places.
The Chief of Defence Intelligence, Air Vice Marshal Musa Sani Usman while welcoming the Minister, expressed appreciation to President Muhammadu Buhari for prioritizing the comfort of the Nigerian Armed Forces and said the Defence Intelligence Community felt honoured by the efforts and attention given to it by the Federal Government through the Ministry of Defence.


The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence Musa Istifanus on behalf of the Minister, presented keys to beneficiaries of the Housing Estate.
