Mrs. Afolake Olaoluwatomi Taiwo was born on the 16th of August 1962 in Ogun state, Nigeria. She joined the Federal Civil Service as Education Officer on salary Grade level 08 in Ministry of Defence. She grew through the Cadre/Ranks as at when due till she was promoted as a Director with effect from 1st January, 2018.
Mrs A.O Taiwo served in several Education Armed Forces Schools such as; Command Secondary School, Bode Igbo, Command Day Secondary School, Mokola, and Ibadan Zonal Education Quality Assurance Office among others.
She participated in Several Committees/Conference/Workshops/Functions within and outside Nigeria including Conference on Mathematician, Science and Technology education in Africa held in Kenya, Annual Bettshow London Global Education Conference, Chaired the Security Committee for the 4th International Safe School Declaration Conference held in Nigeria.
Afolake Taiwo attended several course commensurate to her rank which include Structured Mandatory Assessment Based Training Program (Smart – P), Computer courses, Personal Leadership Development.
She has also travelled to several countries in the world which include Ghana in Africa, England in Europe and United State of America in North America.
She holds a B.Sc. Agric (Animal Science), a post Graduate degree in Education and a M.Ed. (Guidance and Counseling) all from the University of Ibadan.
She is a fellow of the institute of Educational Leadership Practitioners of Nigeria (IELPN).
Afolake loves travelling, cooking and making friends. She is married and blessed with three children.
