Dr. Jibrin. Alhassan was born on 19th August, 1967 in lagos but hails from Zuru LGA, Kebbi State, Nigeria. He joined the Federal Civil Service as Medical Officer on SGL 12 in MOD. He grew through the Cadre/Ranks as at when due till he was promoted to the present rank of Chief Medical Officer with effect from 01/01/2017. He is currently Director Health Services Department in MOD. Some of the previous appointments held include: CMO DHQ Medical Center Mogadishu Cantonment Asokoro Abuja before his current appointment as the Director Health Services Department.
He participated in several Committees/Conferences/Workshops/ Functions within and outside Nigeria, including the Directorate of Naval Medical Services, Directorate of Air Force Medical Services & MOD Heath Research & Ethics Committee (MODHREC).
He attended several courses commensurate to his cadre/rank which includes Aviation Medicine.
He holds MBBS qualification from College of Medicine, University of Lagos, Certificate in Aviation Medicine from Royal Air Force Center for Aviation Medicine, Henlow, UK. He holds membership of MODHREC, NMA, Aviation Medical Examiner, UK & Civil Aviation Medical Association U.S.A.
He loves traveling, reading & listening to music.
He is married and blessed with three children.
