Alhaji Sule Ningi Habu, Sarkin Yakin Ningi, was born on 2nd November, 1963, in Ningi, Ningi Local Government Authority, Bauchi State, Nigeria. He joined the Federal Civil Service as Deputy Director on Salary Grade Level 16 with the Bureau of Public Procurement (BPP). He was promoted to the rank of Director with effect from 1st January, 2015.
Alhaji Sule Ningi Habu had served in several MDAs, which included National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Ministry of Interior and Ministry of Health.
He is currently the Director Procurement in the Ministry of Defence. Some of the previous appointments held include, Director of Finance & Management Services, BPP and Director Procurement NAHCON and Ministries of Interior & Health, before his current appointment as Director Procurement in the Ministry of Defence.
Alhaji Sule Ningi Habu had participated in several courses within and outside Nigeria including; Leadership & Change Management Seminar, KUVA Consult, Istanbul, Turkey (Dec. 10-16, 2022), e-Government Procurement Seminar, International Law Institute (ILI), Washington, USA (August 2022), Effective Procurement Strategies, Crown Agents UK (June 15-17, 2016), Advanced Public Procurement & Contract Negotiations – International Labour Institute (ILI) Washington/BPP (May 27-31, 2013), Basic Public Procurement Principles – International Labour Institute (ILI) Washington/BPP (May 20 -24, 2013), 3rd National Retreat On Ethics & Transparency – ASCON, Badagry, Lagos (December 2011) etc. He has also travelled to several countries in the world, which included Saudi Arabia, United Kingdom, United States of America, Turkey, Niger, Italy etc.
Alhaji Sule Ningi Habu is a graduate of the University of Maiduguri, where he earned his first degree and graduating as Best Student in the Class of Economics. He also obtained a Masters Degree in Economics, from the same University. Alhaji Habu also attended the Bayero University Kano, where he obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration.
Alhaji Sule Ningi Habu is a great leader in Public Service. He is a Councilor, Sarkin Yaki, of the Ningi Emirate Council, a traditional tittle bestowed on him by the Emir of Ningi.
Alhaji Sule Ningi Habu is a member of multiple professional bodies, including being a Fellow of the Institute of Industrialists & Corporate Administrators (FIIC).
Alhaji Sule Ningi Habu loves reading, travelling and listening to the radio. At his leisure, he plays badminton and keeps fit.
He is married to two (2) wives and is blessed with ten (10) children.
