Abdulrahman Suleiman was born on 3rd December, 1969 in Gusau Zamfara State but hails from Isa Local Government Area of Sokoto State.
He started his career with Sokoto State Civil Service as Personnel II, GL. 08 on 1st December, 1995. He transferred his service to Federal Civil Service as Administrative Officers in March 2001. He grew through Cadre/Ranks as at when due till he was promoted to Director GL. 17 with effect from 1st January, 2022.
Abdulrahman Suleiman served in several Ministries which included: Ministry of Communications from 2001-2009; Ministry of Aviation from 2009-201; Ministry of Interior from 2011-2015; Ministry of Environment 2015 – 2016; Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation 2016 – 2023 and NESREA 2023 – 2024
He is currently the Director Planning, Research and Statistics in the Ministry of Defence (MOD) some of the previous appointment held included: Assistant Director(Administrative Officers Division) Employee Mobility Department, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation from 2016-2018; Deputy Director (Administrative Officers Division), Employee Mobility Department, Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation 2018-2022 and Director, Human Resources Management National Environmental Standard and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) from 2023-2024.
He participated in several conferences/workshops within and outside Nigeria: Leadership Development Programme Organised by Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission (NIPC) in collaboration with University of Cape Town Republic of South Africa; A workshop on leadership and Creativity and Innovation organised by Office of the Head of Civil Service of the Federation in collaboration with Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON) among others.He also travelled to several countries in the world which include India, South Africa, Botswana, Dubai and several others.
The Qualification(s) He holds include: Master of Business Administration (MBA) 1999 from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU); Bachelor of Science (Hons) Business Administration from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria (ABU) 1994; IJMB ‘A’ Level 1990; West Africa School Certificated WASC 1987 and First School Leaving Certificate 1982.
His hobbies include Travelling, Watching Documentaries and Reading. He is married and blessed with children
