MOD SPORTS: EXERCISE TO STAY HEALTHY- DR.KANA

The Permanent Secretary Ministry of Defence, Dr. Ibrahim Abubakar kana mni has charged the Staff of the Ministry to maintain regular exercise in order to stay healthy.

Dr. Kana made the charge during the Road Walk/ Aerobics Exercise tagged: “Fitness is life” organised by the Ministry ‘s Sports Club.

According to him, regular exercise keeps the whole system of the body healthy adding that this should be a quarterly events.

The Permanent Secretary who was represented by the Director Reform Coordination and Service Improvement, Ms. Ochida Susan said that he was impressed by the turnout of staff especially women and children.

The event was well attended by the Management team and the general staff of Ministry of Defence.

The highlight of the event was road walk from the Ministry to Area 7 old parade ground down to National Defence College road then to Bolingo and back to the office.

Earlier in his remarks, the Sport Manager, Comrade Olumide Ofeimu appreciated the Permanent Secretary and the Management Staff for their unwavering support and commitment towards the Club and urged the Staff to keep engaging in regular exercise for a healthy life.
