The newly redeployed Permanent Secretary to the Ministry of Defence Mr. Musa Mik Tukfur Istifanus has promised continuity in the execution of ongoing projects and programs of the Ministry. Mr. Istifanus gave the assurance while taking over from outgoing Permanent Secretary, Mr. Babangida Hussaini who was posted to the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing in a recent deployment of Permanent Secretaries approved by President Muhammadu Buhari. The new Permanent Secretary said, “There is no need for change or reordering of priorities. No need also to come up with new plans or adjustment of projects or programs being smoothly executed by the authorities in the Ministry. I am here as a team player and I urged you the Management staff, as a team to join me on the winning side.” Earlier the outgoing Permanent Secretary Mr. Babangida Hussaini had informed his successor that the Management staff of the Ministry are trustworthy, forthright and loyal to the core values of Public Service. Hussaini enjoined the Management to extend similar gestures to the new Permanent Secretary in the bid to achieve the mandate of safeguarding the Nation through the Nigerian Armed Forces. In a remark on behalf of the Management staff, the Director Legal Services Mr. Adebola Odugbesan, described the outgoing Permanent Secretary as an uncommon leader who has impacted on the staff of the Ministry resulting to keying into new era of efficiency, diligence and perseverance
