Each Service runs its own recruitment process at announced times during the year. All processes are merit-based, transparent and free of charge — no payment is required to apply.
Beware of scams. The Ministry of Defence does not authorise any agent or middleman to collect money on behalf of recruitment. Apply only through the official portals.

Our Service Charter is the public statement of the standards you should expect when you deal with the Ministry of Defence — and what to do if those standards are not met.
Courtesy & dignity
You will be treated with courtesy, dignity and respect by every officer of the Ministry, irrespective of rank or background.
Timely response
Routine correspondence is acknowledged within 3 working days and substantively responded to within 14 working days.
FOI requests
FOI requests are processed within 7 working days as required by the FOI Act 2011.
Transparency
Open procurement notices, contract awards, audit reports and key policy documents are published in the public domain.
Confidentiality
Personal data is processed in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023. Information classified for national security is protected by law.
Right to complain
If our service falls short of these standards, raise a SERVICOM complaint and we will respond within 7 working days.
