Mr. Shittu was born on the 26th of September, 1963. He attended Ahmadu Bello University Zaria from 1985 – 1989, he graduated with B.Eng. Hons (Civil – Engineering). He proceeded to the University of Birmingham in the year 2001 – 2002, where he obtained his M.Sc. (Water Resources Technology and Management)
His work experience has spanned over 30 years. He started his career with ETTEH ARO & PARTNERS, Kaduna – Nigeria and had worked as a project Engineer with many private entities which include Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA) Conference Centre Abuja, Cross River State College of Education, Apkampa, Intelligence Academy Abuja, National War Museum Umuahia, Federal Technical College Shiroro and also as Contributing Engineer on design of 11 story block of flats at Nigeria Paper Mill Ltd lagos, Abuja Stadium Complex, and University of Agriculture permanent site Makurdi.
He joined the Federal Civil Service Commission in 2005 as Assistant Chief Engineer (Procurement) and had since served in various Federal Government Ministries and Parastatals which include Bureau of Public Procurement State House Abuja,Federal Ministry of Transport and Aviation, Satellite Towns Development Agency, Nigerian Investment Promotion Commission, Federal Ministry of Works & Housing and Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development.
He is a member of Nigeria Society of Engineers (MNSE) and that of Council for Regulation of Engineering Practice in Nigeria (COREN)
My Shittu is currently the Director Procurement in the Ministry of Defence and he is happily married with children.
