Mrs. Victoria Akem Agba-Attah, Director Press and Public Relations Department hails from Obudu Local Government Area of Cross River State. She was born in 1963 and graduated in 1986 with a Bachelor Degree in History from the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State.
In 1998, Victoria attended the International Institute of Journalism to revitalize her love for the pen profession. She is a fellow of the National Institute of Public Information (NIPI), Kaduna and also a member of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR) among others.
Her career in Public Service started in 1988 as Editor II with the Cross River State Newspaper Corporation. Later she was transferred to the Federal Civil Service as Chief Information Officer where she gradually and dutifully rose to the rank of Director of Information in 2017. She was posted to Ministry of Budget and National Planning and later redeployed to Ministry of Defence.
Her responsibilities include Policy Formulation and articulation towards achieving a dynamic Press and Public Relations structure relevant to the Ministry. She monitors opinions and reactions to the Ministry’s plans, policies, projects, etc. with the aim of arriving at a feedback for Government.
She is happily married with children and enjoys reading, cooking and travelling.
