Mr. Alli was born in Lagos Island, Lagos State, Nigeria on the 27th of January, 1964. He attended Ago Egba High School, Lagos for his West African School Certificate and Obafemi Awolowo University for his Bachelor of Science Degree in Accountancy. He bagged a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the same University.
He started his career with J. Akin Owoseni & Co, a consulting firm as Audit Trainee in 1990, and rose to the position of Audit Supervisor. In 1993, he joined the Federal Civil Service as an Auditor with the office of the Accountant General of the Federation, and he was deployed to the Ministry of Defence, Lagos.
He was posted to National War College, Abuja as College Auditor in 1998. In 2001, he was posted to the Office of the Head of Service of the Federation as Chief Accountant. He was redeployed to the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation (Revenue and Investment) in 2007 as Assistant Director, Federation Revenue. Here he was Secretary to the Federation Revenue Reconciliation Committee (Pre FAAC) for Federation Account Allocation Committee and member Presidential Budget Revenue Reconciliation Committee. He was promoted a Director in 2018 and was the Director, Internal Audit Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation from 2018 to September, 2020 when he was posted to the Ministry of Niger Delta Affairs as Director Finance and Accounts. He resumed as Director, Finance and Accounts of the Ministry of Defence on 8th March, 2021.
Mr. Alli had attended several management courses both locally and internationally. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountant of Nigeria, Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, and member of several other professional bodies.
Mr. Alli enjoy reading and farming. He is happily married with children.
