The Permanent Secretary is the chief administrative and accounting officer of the Ministry, coordinating the work of all departments and units, providing institutional continuity, and serving as the principal interface between the political leadership and the Civil Service.
The PS chairs the Ministerial Tenders Board, the Ministerial Steering Committee on Reforms and represents the Ministry on the Federal Executive Council's Permanent Secretaries' Forum.
