Mrs. Maria Idenyi Mark was born on 12th March, 1960 at Otukpo Local Government Area of Benue State.

She completed her primary education at St. Francis Primary School otukpo Benue State in 1972, and started her secondary education (ordinary level) in 1973 at St. Anne Secondary School Otukpo, and completed in 1977.

Mrs. Mark Idenyi Mark went further to study English at the Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and Kaduna State and graduated in 1983 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language (B.A.Hons).In addition, she holds a post graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Ibadan in 1992 and a Masters Degree in Library Studies (MLS) from the same university in 1995.

After her university education, she began her working carrier in 1984, as education Officer with the Benue State Civil service commission, Makurdi. In 1988, she sought transfer to the Oyo state teaching service commission, Ibadan to join her husband and in May 1996, Mrs. Mark secured a lateral transfer to the ministry of Defence, Abuja through the Federal Civil Service Commission.

Consequently, Mrs. Mark was posted to the Command Day secondary School, Enugu as a pioneer Vice- Principal (Administration).She held this position from 1996 until 2001 when she was promoted to the rank of chief Education Officer and deployed to the Inspectorate cell, HQ 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu as an Inspector of Education. Presently, Mrs. Mark is a Director (Education) and heads the department of Education in the Ministry of Defence as the pioneer Director.

A very hospitable, kind and accommodating person with a very high sense of humour, Mrs. Mark is happily married and blessed with three children- 2 girls and a Boy.

Her hobbies include reading, visiting places (travelling) and watching reality/inspirational and educational movies.
