Huda Metteden was born on the 27th of March, 1960 into the family of Mr & Mrs M. Abdullahi and hails from Borno state, Nigeria.

She attended Hausari Primary and Yerwa Government Secondary School both in Maiduguri, Borno State where she obtained the First School Leaving Certificate and the West African School Certificate respectively. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography from the prestigious University of Maiduguri and a Post Graduate Diploma in Community Development and Public Relations.

Mrs Metteden began her career with the Borno College of Basic Studies, Maiduguri on 1st October, 1983 as an Assistant Lecturer II. She was thereafter transferred into the mainstream Federal Civil Service w.e.f 14th may, 1986 and had served in various capacities in different MDAs. She was promoted to the rank of a Director (Admin), GL. 17 with effect from 1st January, 2013 and posted to the Ministry of Police Affairs as Director (General Services). She is presently the Director, Human Resource Management Department, Ministry of Defence.

She is a Fellow of the National Defence College and was conferred as a Member of the Order of the Niger (MON) for her meritorious service by Former President Goodluck E. Jonathan on 14th November, 2011.

She is happily married with children and her hobbies include travelling, arts and crafts and current affairs.
