One of the major challenges confronting our country Nigeria is the issue fanning of embers of religious divide among the citizenry by some unscrupulous elements, thereby subjecting the country to a critical moment. It therefore, behooves on organization like yours to turn around the country for good fortunes.
The Minister, Mohammad Mansur Dan-Ali made this remark while receiving in audience, members of “Best for All Nigerians Organization “(a political support group for the President, Muhammad Buhari) led by its Chairman, Alhaji jihaidu Yantumaki and his team during a courtesy visit in his office.
He expressed his satisfaction that the organization is composed of all religion, emphasizing that all other organizations should emulate them for over all interest of the nation.
The Minister reiterated government's commitment to Nigerians on assumption of office by the present administration, emphasizing on security, which he says without it; there can never be democracy and development, and corruption which according to him does not pave way for democracy and good governance to thrive.
Dan-Ali further said that community leaders are seriously needed because they are the first hand veritable apparatus that need to secure the environment before the members of the security agencies. He therefore advised the organization that their awareness, commitment and reaction to the local security challenges will equally enhance the security in the country and that they should use this opportunity to enlighten the people agitating for one thing or the other to let us be united and maintain what we stand for, “United we stand and divided we fall”.
Earlier in his speech, the Chairman of the Organization Alhaji Jinaidu Yantumaki thanked the Hon. Minister for granting them audience and congratulated him for the Military's effort in defeating Boko Haram and its forces.
In addition, the Secretary of the organization Bishop Samuel Akpan informed the Minister that the organization is formed, based on the good ideals of Mr. President which goes by his statement: “I belong to everybody and I belong to nobody” stressing that the organization is for all Nigerians irrespective of ethnic, religion and culture.
