Mrs. Maria Idenyi Mark (JP) hails from Okpoga in Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State. She was born in Otukpo, Benue State, where she attended her Primary and Secondary School Education. She also attended the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria Kaduna State where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in English Language in 1983. In addition, she holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) from the University of Ibadan in 1992 and a Master’s Degree in Library Studies (MLS) from the same University in 1995.

Mrs. Mark started her career with the Benue State Civil Service Commission in 1983 as an Education Officer and in 1988 sought Transfer to the Oyo State Teaching Service Commission to join her husband. In May 1996, Mrs. Mark secured a Lateral Transfer to the Ministry of Defence through the Federal Civil Service Commission.

Consequently, Mrs. Mark was posted to the command Day Secondary School, Enugu as a pioneer Vice-Principal (Administration). She held this position from 1996 until when she was promoted to the Rank of Chief Education Officer and deployed to the Inspectorate Cell, HQ 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu as an Inspector. Thereafter, she was promoted as a pioneer Director (Education) in 2010 and posted to the Ministry of Defence (HQ). 
Presently she is the pioneer Head of the Education Services Department.A very hospitable, kind and accommodating person with a very high sense of humour, Mrs. Mark is happily married and blessed with three (3) children – 2 girls and a boy names Ivy Ene Mark, Andrew Eneng Mark and Celine Unepe Mark.

Her hobbies include reading, visiting places (travelling) and watching inspirational/educational movies.
